It is the hope of our faith that all who are anxious about their livelihood may soon become secure and that those too old for an economic life may enjoy retirement with comfort and honour.

That all those who work in dangerous occupations either underground, on the sea or in complex industrial plants may avoid disaster and find developments towards a healthier work environment.

That those who work in the health and social services may continue with their caring and high ideals.

That those who keep our laws and those who look after the prisons work for the good of those in their care that all may improve.

That those who study in schools and higher education may find illumination and become of use to wider society.

That those who are involved in financial and business deals refuse to profit by exploitation of the ignorant, that they may find the spirit of service supercede the spirit of gain.

This is the hope of our faith.

That those in the politics and government of Europe and the world may accomplish their tasks with high minded character so that love may be within all they decide.

This is the hope of our faith.

That those in the religions and the churches may nurture faith, hope and charity to all with those with whom they have contact.

This is the hope of our faith.

That all may contribute to the peace and progress of society opposing injustice, against abuse, to remidy social ills and thus do all that makes for unity.
