1. In pairs, choose six of the eight pictures.
  2. Discuss an outline story in order of the six.
  3. Each, separately, write either the first three or the second three.
  4. Then speak the story: and see how the two halves join.

  • Is she buying a flat?
  • Is she getting a divorce?
  • Is she looking for a job?
  • Why does he end up drinking elsewhere?
By selecting six of the eight pictures, there is the opportunity for a tighter narrative.
