I gained previous experience in supporting Learning particularly in Study Skills at the then Grimsby College, plus I taught Key Skills Literacy at Hull College. I have GCSE in Maths and English A-C equivalent and this was confirmed by literacy, numeracy and ICT tests during teacher training. My ICT skills are extensive and broad, from MS Office and Open Office to HTML writing: I have taught these in training. I would be willing to gain a qualification in Supporting Skills for Life; I have a PGCE and several degrees. The demands of teaching literacy, of writing and rewriting dissertations and preaching and lecturing mean a very high standard of written and spoken English . Able to provide Administrative and record keeping skills were developed not only in offices with data entry but in supporting teaching as at the sixth form. I have interviewed parents and students in one to one situations. The best team operation was in fact in teacher training where open and informal and formal meetings meant all knew what the others were doing. I was flexible in my support work at Grimsby College, coming in for mornings, afternoons or evenings, a part time job that sometimes stretched to full time. I have a full clean driving licence.
Delivering lessons to sixth form students required an immense amount of planning and prioritising workloads; I was working in a high pressure environment to meet timetable requirements. This also included assessing students' work and providing constructive feedback so that students were able to develop and progress. My role also demanded effective and timely communications with colleagues and parents so that the college could function effectively. I used ICT constantly; resources I created were delivered via the Internet through Interactive Whiteboards.
As a supply teacher I offered Instant flexibility in secondary schools by providing ICT resourced teaching cover across a wide range of subjects to highly diverse sets of students. I gained the ability to be flexible and quickly responded to the challenges of the moment.
As HE Research Assistant I provided flexible customer focused drop in service for students. I found this work particularly rewarding as I was responding to students needs across a whole range of ICT, journals and study skills requirements. The ability to work flexibly and access a range of resources (many which I personally developed myself) added value to students' learning experience.

This text document accompanies my briefer CV for the post of Media Coordinator advertised within the Jobcentreplus website.
As a teacher with training, and a discussion leader, a research interviewer, something of an artist (having had some exhibitions) and a liberal religion preacher, I have strong communication skills. My most recent teaching post involved a pressing workload - needing prioritising - in lesson planning, delivery, assessment and self-evaluation, including a necessary commitment to equality of opportunity. With a very high level of literacy, and an analytical mind, I can plan, organise and manage different tasks and have experience of teamwork to organise and indeed manage others. I have had voluntary experience as a Publicity Officer and organised an exhibition of a church. I was also Steering Committee Secretary of the Sea of Faith Network involving me in assisting with conference organising.
At present I edit sound files and present musical resources to a high standard, and have a librarian task (I have classified and catalogued before) and I present theological material to a church group. These resources are evidenced on my website. I am a fluent user of ICT, for example I combined the use of my website and teaching through Interactive Whiteboards. In the early 1980s I presented a serious music programme on Kingstown Hospital Radio Hull. There I changed the method from faded out scratchy classical records to researched, timed, whole tape pieces based on a broadcast model of WXQR in the United States. This is indicative of my approach: to read around, find best practices, raise quality.
I have three degrees including qualitative research and the sociology/ theology subjects are cross cultural - I maintain an active interest in them now. I have experience of liaising with parents; and as a Data Processor at GTS (UK) I would contact outside bodies to persuade them to send data towards producing tourist reports for (mainly public sector) customers.
I have worked in teams, such as in teaching, where the best functioning have had frequent informal and formal meetings so that everyone knew what everyone else was doing, but I have also taken initiatives alone (but in negotiation) to create training packages in commercial and voluntary settings.
I notice in addition that you are looking for an 'Undergraduate', again requiring a team player and communicator. I have actually taught Business Studies and Research to Business undergraduates. I understand organisation theory - such as the charismatic, traditional, bureaucratic, systemic and human relations, which crosses over between sociology, religion and business management. I am very much a methodical and logical thinker and can use my intelligence with diplomacy and focus. As I have been involved in discussing training, such as at SGS Redwood Services, and at YMCA Bonskeid House, I can identify training and development needs within the organisation using analysis, appraisal and consultation with an eye to efficient working. What I do not know I can learn very quickly.

Delivering lessons to sixth form students required an immense amount of planning and prioritising workloads; targets had to be met and I was working in a high pressure environment to meet timetable requirements. This also included assessing students' work and providing constructive feedback. My role also demanded effective communications with colleagues and parents.
Communication skills come through teaching and tutoring, but also with the preaching I do at present. I have written at all academic levels and taught literacy.
I can analyse and solve problems given my analytical mind.
