PAUL CARTER is the brother of BOB CARTER, the bisexual lover of the murdered KATIE CROMWELL and STEVE JONES. He, however, is single, although friendly with the lesbian JANICE BARBER, to whom he recently agreed to donate his sperm so that JACKIE CROMWELL and Janice can start a family. He has no interest in starting a family of his own and seemingly in other women or men. Police learn he is considering going to stay in a Buddhist monastery. Asked why he would do this and donate sperm he replies that it would make his principled friend Janice happy with her love.
